Ramlila of Babapur
Soon news that Ramlila play is going to be performed in Vijayanagar spread in the city. The whole public became eager to see Ramlila. "Babapur? We have never heard the name of this place. Where is this?", Maharaj asked in surprise.
"It is right here near Vijayanagara, Maharaj."
Hearing this from Tenali Raman, the members of the troupe started smiling. On this Maharaj asked him the reason for smiling, then a child of the congregation said, “Maharaj, we are residents of Vijayanagar. This troupe has been prepared by Tenali Baba and hence our name is Babapur ki Mandli.”
Hearing this from the child, everyone including Maharaj started laughing.
There is no problem which cannot be solved. Simply, it requires restraint and intelligence, as Tenali Raman did in this story.
பாபாபூரின் ராம்லீலா
ராம்லீலா நாடகம் நிகழ்த்தப்பட போகிறது என்கிற செய்தி விஜயநகரில் வேகமாக பரவியது. ஒட்டுமொத்த பொதுமக்களும் ராம்லீலா நாடகத்தை காண ஆவலுடன் காத்திருந்தனர். ராம்லீலா நாடகம் நிகழ்த்தப்படும் தினத்தன்று மக்கள் அனைவரும் ஆவலுடன் மைதானத்தில் கூடி இருந்தனர். அதே நேரத்தில், மகாராஜா கிருஷ்ணதேவ ராயர், அனைத்து அமைச்சர்கள் மற்றும் அரசவை உறுப்பினர்களும் அங்கு கூடி இருந்தனர்.
அனைவரும் ராம்லீலாவை மிகவும் ரசித்தனர். நாடகம் முடிந்ததும் எல்லோரும் நாடகத்தில் நடித்த கலைஞர்களை வெகுவாகப் பாராட்டினர். குறிப்பாக நாடகக் குழுவில் இருந்த குழந்தைகளின் கலைத்திறன் அனைவருக்கும் மிகவும் பிடித்தது. நாடகக் கலைஞர்கள் அனைவரையும் கண்டு மன்னர் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைந்தார். அதனால் ஒட்டுமொத்த நாடகக் குழுவையும் அரண்மனைக்கு இரவு விருந்துக்கு அழைத்தார்.
நாடகக் குழுவினர் அனைவரும் அரண்மனைக்கு வந்ததும், மகாராஜா, தெனாலி ராமன் மற்றும் பிற அமைச்சர்கள் அனைவரும் சேர்ந்து உணவு உண்டனர். அப்போது தெனாலி ராமனிடம் மகாராஜா, இவ்வளவு நல்ல குழு உங்களுக்கு எங்கிருந்து கிடைத்தது என்று வியப்புடன் கேட்டார். அதற்கு தெனாலி ராமன், இந்தக் கூட்டம் பாபாபூரில் இருந்து வந்துள்ளது மகாராஜா என்று பதிலளித்தார்.
பாபாபூர்? இந்த இடத்தின் பெயரை நான் இதற்கு முன்னால் கேள்விப்பட்டதே இல்லையே. இது எங்கே உள்ளது? என்று மகாராஜா ஆச்சரியத்துடன் கேட்டார். விஜயநகரத்திற்கு அருகில்தான் இவ்விடம் உள்ளது மகாராஜா என்றார் தெனாலி ராமன்.
தெனாலி ராமன் இப்படி சொன்னதும் நாடகக் குழுவினர் சிரிக்க ஆரம்பித்தனர். இதைப் பார்த்து மகராஜா அவர்கள் எதற்காக சிரிக்கிறார்கள் என்று கேட்டார். அப்போது கூட்டத்திலிருந்து ஒரு குழந்தை, மகராஜா, நாங்கள் விஜயநகரில் வசிப்பவர்கள். இந்த குழு தெனாலி பாபாவால் உருவாக்கப்பட்டது. எனவேதான் எங்கள் பெயர் பாபாபூர் குழு என்றது. குழந்தை சொன்னதைக் கேட்டு மகாராஜா உட்பட அனைவரும் சிரிக்க ஆரம்பித்தனர். தீர்க்க முடியாத பிரச்சினை என்று எதுவுமில்லை. தெனாலி ராமன் இந்த கதையில் செய்தது போல், தீர்வுக்குத் தேவை நிதானமும் புத்திசாலித்தனமும் மட்டுமே.
