Truth hidden behind the Saree
On hearing the ministers saying that the saree woven by the women looks so beautiful the king was very happy. The next day he ordered the woman to attend the court with the saree. The woman came to the court the next day with her craftsmen carrying a box. She opened the box in the court and started showing the saree to everyone.
All the people sitting in the court were very surprised, because no saree could be seen by any courtier including the king. Seeing this, Tenali Raman said in the ear of the king that the woman had lied.
She is fooling everyone. After this Tenali Raman told the woman that he or any courtier sitting in the court could not see this saree.
Hearing this talk of Tenali Raman, the woman said that this saree will be visible only to those whose mind is clean and she has not committed any sin.
Hearing this thing of the woman, a plan came in the mind of Tenali Raman. He said to the woman - "The Queen wants you to come to the court wearing that sari yourself and show that saree to everyone."
Hearing this from Tenali Raman, the woman started apologizing in front of the king. She told the king all the truth that she had not made any saree. She was fooling everyone.
The king got very angry after listening to the woman. He sentenced lifelong imprisonment to her. but when the woman pleaded a lot, the King released her and forgave her and let her go. At the same time, the king praised Tenali Raman's cleverness. Lies or deception cannot be hidden for long. One day the truth will come to the fore.
சேலைக்கு பின்னாள் மறைந்திருந்த உண்மை
பெண்ணால் நெய்யப்பட்ட சேலை மிகவும் அழகாக இருப்பதால் அமைச்சர்கள் சொல்ல கேட்டு அரசர் மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சியடைந்தார். மறுநாள் அந்தப் பெண்ணை புடவையுடன் அரசவையில் ஆஜராகும்படி உத்தரவிட்டார். அந்தப் பெண் தன் கைவினைஞர்களுடன் ஒரு பெட்டியைச் சுமந்து கொண்டு மறுநாள் அரசவைக்கு வந்தாள். அரசவையில் பெட்டியைத் திறந்து, புடவையை எல்லோருக்கும் காட்ட ஆரம்பித்தாள்.
அரசர் உட்பட எந்த அரசவையினராலும் புடவையைக் காண முடியாததால் அரசவையில் அமர்ந்திருந்த மக்கள் அனைவரும் மிகவும் ஆச்சரியப்பட்டனர். இதைப் பார்த்த தெனாலி ராமன், அந்தப் பெண் பொய் சொல்வதாக மன்னர் காதில் சொன்னார். அவள் அனைவரையும் ஏமாற்றுவதாகவும் கூறினார். இதற்குப் பிறகு தெனாலி ராமன் அந்தப் பெண்ணிடம் தானோ, அரசவையில் அமர்ந்திருக்கும் அமைச்சர்களோ இந்தப் புடவையைப் பார்க்க முடியவில்லை என்று கூறினார்.
தெனாலி ராமனின் இந்தப் பேச்சைக் கேட்ட அந்தப் பெண், எந்தப் பாவமும் செய்யாத தூய்மையான மனம் படைத்தவர்களுக்கு மட்டும்தான் இந்தப் புடவை கண்ணுக்குத் தெரியும் என்றாள். அந்த பெண்ணின் இத்தகைய பேச்சை கேட்ட தெனாலி ராமனுக்கு ஒரு திட்டம் தோன்றியது. அவர் அந்தப் பெண்ணிடம் சொன்னார்,"நீயே அந்தப் புடவையை அணிந்து கொண்டு அரசவைக்கு வந்து அந்தச் சேலையை எல்லோருக்கும் காட்ட வேண்டும் என்று ராணி விரும்புகிறார்". தெனாலி ராமன் சொன்னதைக் கேட்ட அந்தப் பெண், அரசரிடம் மன்னிப்பு கோரினாள்.
தான் புடவை நெய்யவில்லை என்ற உண்மையைச் சொன்னாள். தான் அனைவரையும் ஏமாற்றி வந்ததை ஒப்புக் கொண்டாள். அந்தப் பெண்ணின் பேச்சைக் கேட்டு அரசன் மிகவும் கோபமடைந்தார். அவளுக்கு ஆயுள் தண்டனை விதித்து சிறையில் அடைக்க உத்தரவிட்டார். ஆனால், அந்த பெண் மிகவும் மன்றாடியதால், அவளை மன்னித்து விடுவித்தார். அவள் செல்ல அனுமதி வழங்கினார். அதே சமயம் தெனாலி ராமனின் புத்திசாலித்தனத்தைப் பாராட்டினார் அரசர். பொய்யையும் வஞ்சகத்தையும் நீண்ட காலத்திற்கு மறைக்க முடியாது. ஒரு நாள் உண்மை வெளிச்சத்திற்கு வந்தே தீரும்.
