Prank Turns into Prick

Mullah’s wife one day angrily said, “Why can’t you be like normal husbands and do some work and earn a living?”

“Dear Wife, I am worker of the Almighty God. How can I do another job?” replied Mulla.

“Dearest Husband, maybe you can then ask your God to give you something in return for your service,” retorted his wife.

Mulla went to the garden near his house and said loudly, “Oh God, since I am your humble and devoted servant, will you give me a 100 gold coins for my devotion towards you?”

Mullah’s neighbour, Ahmed was in the balcony and he heard this. He decided to play a prank on Mulla. He threw a bag full of 100 gold coins towards Mullah.

A shocked and surprised Mulla called his wife and showed her the bag and said, “See! I am such a good devotee of the Almighty that he gave me a 100 gold coins.”

His wife happily took out a coin from the bag and went to the market.

Seeing Mulla’s wife shopping, their neighbour Ahmed’s wife, grew suspicious. She had a word with Ahmed about this. Ahmed stormed into Mulla’s house and angrily demanded his 100 gold coins back. As mulla refused to return, “I should sue you in court for justice” an angry Ahmed replied.

Mullah pleadingly, “My friend Ahmed! I am a poor man. I don’t have any good clothes or even means to travel. The judge will surely trust you more.” A resigned Ahmed, gave Mulla his jacket and horse too! They went to the court.

At the court, the judge listened to Ahmed’s complaint. He turned to Mullah and asked him, “Do you want to say anything?’

“My neighbour Ahmed is completely mad”, replied Mulla.

The judge asked Mulla if he had any proof.

“Well he assumes, everything I own is his. First it’s the gold coins, then it’s the jacket, then it’s the horse,” replied Mullah.

The judge asked “Is this true Ahmed?”

Ahmed was very upset and angry on hearing this. He replied angrily to the judge, “Yes!”

The judge looks at both of them and said, “There is no point to Ahmed’s complaint. You can both leave.”

முல்லா தனது வீட்டின் அருகில் உள்ள தோட்டத்திற்கு சென்று உரத்த குரலில், "கடவுளே, நான் உமது பணிவான மற்றும் அர்ப்பணிப்புள்ள வேலைக்காரன் என்பதால், உம் மீது நான் கொண்ட பக்திக்காக ஒரு 100 பொற்காசுகள் தருவீர்களா?" என்றார்.

முல்லாவின் பக்கத்துவீட்டுக்காரரான அகமது பால்கனியில் இருந்தபடி முல்லாவின் வேண்டுதலை ஒட்டுக் கேட்டார். முல்லாவிடம் சற்று குறும்பாக விளையாட முடிவு செய்து 100 பொற்காசுகள் நிறைந்த ஒரு பையை முல்லாவை நோக்கி வீசினார்.

அதிர்ச்சியும் ஆச்சரியமும் அடைந்தமுல்லா மனைவியைக் கூப்பிட்டு பையைக் காட்டி, “பார்! நான் ஆண்டவரின் சிறந்த பக்தன், அவர் எனக்கு 100 பொற்காசுகளைக் கொடுத்தார்”. அவரது மனைவி மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் பையிலிருந்து ஒரு நாணயத்தை எடுத்துக் கொண்டு சந்தைக்குச் சென்றார்.

முல்லாவின் மனைவி கடைவீதிக்கு செல்வதைக் கண்டு, பக்கத்து வீட்டு அகமதுவின் மனைவிக்கு சந்தேகம் ஏற்பட்டது. அவள் அகமதுவிடம் இதைப் பற்றி ஒரு வார்த்தை சொன்னாள். முல்லா வீட்டிற்குள் நுழைந்த அகமது,கோபத்துடன் அவரிடம் இருந்த 100 தங்க நாணயங்களைத் திரும்பக் கேட்டார். முல்லா திருப்பி கொடுக்க மறுக்கவே "நீதிக்காக நான் நீதிமன்றத்தில் வழக்குத் தொடர வேண்டியிருக்கும்" என்றார் அகமது.

முல்லா, “என் நண்பரே அகமது! நான் ஒரு ஏழை. என்னிடம் நல்ல ஆடைகளோ, பயணிக்க வசதியோ இல்லை. நீதிபதி நிச்சயமாக உங்களைதான் அதிகமாக நம்புவார்” என்று கெஞ்சினார். சற்று தயங்கிய அகமது, முல்லாவுக்கு மேல் சட்டையையும் குதிரையையும் கொடுத்தார். பிறகு நீதிமன்றத்திற்கு இருவரும் சென்றனர்.

நீதிமன்றத்தில், அகமதுவின் புகாரை நீதிபதி கேட்டார். அவர் முல்லாவிடம், "நீங்கள் ஏதாவது சொல்ல விரும்புகிறீர்களா?' என்றார். "என் பக்கத்து வீட்டுக்காரன் அகமது முற்றிலும் பைத்தியக்காரன்" என்றார் முல்லா. நீதிபதி முல்லாவிடம் ஆதாரம் உள்ளதா என்று கேட்டார். "எனக்கு சொந்தமான அனைத்தும் அவருடையது என்று அவர் கருதுகிறார். முதலில் அந்த தங்கக் காசுகள், பிறகு இந்த மேல் சட்டை, குதிரை” என்று முல்லா பதிலளித்தார்.
