When King Krishnadevaraya shouted at Tenali Raman to leave his kingdom Tenali Raman sadly left from there. He reached the court of the neighbouring king and sang many songs in praise of him. The neighbouring king was overjoyed by Tenali Raman's praise and asked him to introduce himself. Tenali Raman said, “I am the personal secretary of Krishnadevaraya, the king of Vijayanagara.” The king said, "Vijaynagara is our enemy, then how did you come to my court as a resident of that place, didn't you feel afraid?" Tenali Raman said, “You consider us enemies, while our king considers you as friend”.
