To whom the Diamonds belong?
One day a man came to the court of King Krishnadeva Raya crying. He said, "Your Majesty! I work in a rice mill near Namdev. My boss has cheated on me. I want justice." King Krishnadeva Raya asked him what happened to you after all.
Nandu told the king ,"About five days ago I had gone to the temple of Panchmukhi Shiva with my master from the village. Then a very strong storm started coming. We both stopped for a while in the back part of the temple. Then my eyes fell on a velvet red cloth. I picked it up with permission from my master. When I saw it was a small bundle, inside which were two diamonds.
Maharaj, those diamonds had fallen in the rear part of the temple, so by law they were the property of the state. But, my master's mind was spoiled after seeing the diamonds. He told me that if you do not tell anyone, then both of us can divide each one diamond between us. I also had a craving in my mind, so I said yes to this matter.
As soon as I reached the mansion, when I asked for my diamond from the owner, he refused to give it. I had thought that as soon as I got the diamond, I would leave my job and start some work by selling it, because the attitude of the owner was not good towards me.”
Further Nandu said to Maharaj in a sad voice, "I tried to persuade the owner for two days, but he has categorically refused to give me the diamond. Now render justice to me."
On hearing Nandu's words, the emperor immediately sent his soldiers and called the rice mill owner to his court. As soon as he arrived, Maharaj Krishnadeva Raya started questioning him about the diamond. In response, he told him ,"my servant is lying”.

வைரக்கற்கள் யாருக்குச் சொந்தம்?
ஒரு நாள் கிருஷ்ணதேவராயரின் அரசவைக்கு ஒருவர் அழுது கொண்டே வந்தார். அவர், அரசே! நாம்தேவ் அருகே உள்ள ஒரு அரிசி ஆலையில் நான் வேலை செய்கிறேன். என் முதலாளி என்னை ஏமாற்றிவிட்டார். எனக்கு நீதி வேண்டும் என்றார். அந்த நபருக்கு என்ன நேர்ந்தது என்பதை மன்னர் கிருஷ்ணதேவராயர் கேட்டறிந்தார். சுமார் ஐந்து நாட்களுக்கு முன்பு கிராமத்தில் இருந்து என் எஜமானருடன் பஞ்சமுகி சிவன் கோயிலுக்கு சென்றிருந்தேன். அப்போது பலத்த புயல் வீசத் தொடங்கியது. இருவரும் கோயிலின் பின் பகுதியில் சிறிது நேரம் நின்றோம். அப்போது ஒரு வெல்வெட் சிவப்பு துணி எங்கள் கண்ணில்பட்டது. எனது முதலாளியின் அனுமதியுடன் நான் அதை எடுத்தேன். அதை பிரித்து பார்த்தபோது அது ஒரு சிறிய மூட்டை, அதன் உள்ளே இரண்டு வைரக்கற்கள் இருந்தன. அந்த வைரக்கற்கள் கோயிலின் பின்புறத்தில் விழுந்து கிடந்ததால், சட்டப்படி அவை அரசுக்கே சொந்தம் என்று எண்ணினேன். ஆனால், வைரத்தை கண்டவுடன் என் எஜமானருக்கு சபலம் ஏற்பட்டது. "நீ யாரிடமும் சொல்லவில்லை என்றால், நாம் இருவரும் ஆளுக்கு ஒரு வைரம் பிரித்துக் கொள்ளலாம்" என்று அவர் என்னிடம் கூறினார். எனக்குள்ளும் நப்பாசை எட்டிப் பார்க்கவே இந்த விஷயத்துக்கு சரி என்றேன்.
நான் வீடு திரும்பியதும், எனது வைரத்தை முதலாளியிடம் கேட்டபோது, அவர் கொடுக்க மறுத்துவிட்டார். ஏற்கெனவே எனது முதலாளி என்னிடம் நடந்துகொள்ளும் விதம் சரியாக இல்லாததால், எனக்கு வைரம் கிடைத்தவுடனே வேலையை விட்டுவிட்டு, அதை விற்று ஏதாவது தொழில் தொடங்கலாம் என்று நினைத்திருந்தேன். மேலும் மன்னரிடம் வருத்தம் தோய்ந்த குரலில் நந்து கூறுகையில், "நான் இரண்டு நாட்களாக முதலாளியை, வற்புறுத்தி வைரத்தை பெற்றுவிட முயன்றேன். ஆனால், அவர் எனக்கு வைரத்தை தர மறுத்துவிட்டார். இப்போது எனக்கு நீதி பெற்றுத் தாருங்கள் மன்னா" என்றார். நந்துவின் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்ட பேரரசர் உடனடியாக தனது வீரர்களை அனுப்பி அரிசி ஆலை முதலாளியை அழைத்தார். அவர் வந்தவுடன், மன்னர் கிருஷ்ணதேவராயர் அவரிடம் வைரத்தைப் பற்றி விசாரிக்கத் தொடங்கினார். பதிலுக்கு ஆலை முதலாளி, "எனது வேலைக்காரன் பொய் சொல்கிறான்” என்றார்.
