TENALI'S FAVOURITE SWEET!
Tenali Raman was always known for his unique ways of responding. Whatever question was asked to him, he always used to answer in a different style, even if the question was about his favourite sweet.
One winter afternoon, Maharaja Krishnadeva raya, Rajpurohit and Tenali Raman were walking in the garden of the palace. Maharaj said, It is getting very cold this time. It hasn't been this cold in years. This is the season to eat plenty and be healthy. What Rajpurohit ji, what do you say? "You are absolutely right sir. The fun of eating lots of dry fruits, fruits and sweets in this season is different”, replied Rajpurohit. Hearing the name of the sweets, Maharaj said, "You are absolutely right. By the way, which sweets are eaten in winter?
Rajpurohit said, “Your Majesty, there are many sweets made of dry fruits like cashew katli, barfi, halwa, gulab jamun, etc. There are many other sweets that we can eat in the winter. Hearing this, Maharaj started laughing and turned to Tenali Raman and said, "You tell Tenali. Which dessert do you like in the cold?"
To this Tenali replied, “Maharaj, Rajpurohit ji, both of you come with me at night. I will feed you my favourite sweets." "Why together? Tell us which dessert you like. We will get it prepared in the palace itself,” said the Maharaj. (to be continued...)
தெனாலிக்கு பிடித்த இனிப்பு!
தெனாலி ராமன் எப்போதுமே தனது தனித்துவமான பதில் அளிக்கும் வழிகளுக்காக அறியப்பட்டவர். அவரிடம் எந்தக் கேள்வி கேட்டாலும், தனக்குப் பிடித்த இனிப்பு பற்றிய கேள்வியாக இருந்தாலும் கூட வித்தியாசமான பாணியில் பதில் சொல்வார். ஒரு குளிர்கால மதியம், மகாராஜா கிருஷ்ணதேவ ராயர், ராஜகுரு , தெனாலி ராமன் ஆகியோர் அரண்மனை தோட்டத்தில் நடந்து கொண்டிருந்தனர். இந்த நேரத்தில் குளிர் அதிகமாக இருக்கிறது. இத்தனை வருடங்களாக குளிர் இல்லை. நிறைய சாப்பிட்டு ஆரோக்கியமாக இருக்க வேண்டிய பருவம் இது. ஏன் ராஜகுருவே, நீங்கள் என்ன சொல்கிறீர்கள் என்று கேட்டார் மன்னர். "நீங்கள் சொல்வது முற்றிலும் சரி ஐயா. இந்த பருவ காலத்தில் உலர் பழங்கள், பழங்கள் மற்றும் இனிப்புகளை அதிகம் சாப்பிடுவது அலாதியானது” என்று பதிலளித்தார் ராஜகுரு.
உடனே மன்னர், நீங்கள் சொல்வது முற்றிலும் சரி குளிர்காலத்தில் எந்த வகையான இனிப்புகள் உண்ணப்படுகின்றன என்று மேலும் கேட்டார். ராஜகுரு, “அரசே, காஜூ கத்லி, பர்ஃபி, ஹல்வா, குலாப் ஜாமூன் போன்ற உலர் பழங்களால் செய்யப்பட்ட பல இனிப்புகள் உள்ளன. குளிர்காலத்தில் நாம் சாப்பிடக் கூடிய பல இனிப்புகள் உள்ளன. இதைக் கேட்ட மன்னர் சிரிக்கத் தொடங்கினார். தெனாலி ராமன் பக்கம் திரும்பி, நீங்கள் சொல்லுங்கள். குளிரில் உங்களுக்கு எந்த இனிப்பு பிடிக்கும் என்று கேட்டார். அதற்கு தெனாலி ராமன், மகராஜா, ராஜகுரு அவர்களே, நீங்கள் இருவரும் இரவில் என்னுடன் வாருங்கள். எனக்கு பிடித்த இனிப்புகளை நீங்களும் உண்டு மகிழலாம் என்றார். "ஏன் ஒன்றாக செல்ல வேண்டும்? உங்களுக்கு எந்த இனிப்பு பிடிக்கும் என்று சொல்லுங்கள். அதை அரண்மனையிலேயே தயாரிப்போம் என்றார் மன்னர். (கதை தொடரும்)
