THE WONDERFUL FABRIC
Once a beautiful lady brought a box to King Krishnadeva Raya’s court. There was a velvet saree in that box, which she took out and started showing it to the king and all the courtiers in the court. The saree was so beautiful that anyone who saw it would be astonished. The woman told the king that she makes such beautiful sarees. She has some artisans, who weave this saree with their secret arts. She requested the king that if the king gave her some money, she would make a similar saree for the Queen and other courtiers. King Krishnadeva Raya agreed to the woman and gave her money. The woman asked for one year's time to prepare the special saree. After this, the woman started living in the king's palace with her sari weavers and started weaving sari.
During this time, the food and drink of that woman and the artisans, the palace itself was bearing all the expenses. Similarly, one year has passed. Then the king sent his ministers to the woman to see that saree. When the ministers went to the artisans, they were surprised at what they saw. There two artisans were weaving something without any thread or cloth. The woman told that her craftsmen were weaving saris for the king, but the ministers told that they could not see any saree. On this the woman said that only those people can see this saree, whose mind is clean and they have not committed any sin in life. Hearing this from the woman, the ministers of the king got upset. Making an excuse, they told the woman that they could see the sari and they left from there. Coming back to the king, they said that the sari was very beautiful.

அற்புதமான துணி
ஒருமுறை அழகான பெண் ஒருவர் கிருஷ்ணதேவ ராயரின் அரசவைக்கு ஒரு பெட்டியை கொண்டு வந்தார். அந்த பெட்டியில் ஒரு வெல்வெட் புடவை இருந்தது. அதை வெளியே எடுத்து ராஜா மற்றும் அரசவையினருக்கு அந்தப் பெண் காண்பித்தார். பார்த்தவர்கள் வியந்து போகும் அளவுக்கு அந்த புடவை அழகாக இருந்தது. இவ்வளவு அழகான புடவைகளை தான் நெய்வதாக அரசனிடம் அந்தப் பெண் கூறினார். தன்னிடம் சில கைவினைஞர்கள் உள்ளனர், அவர்கள் இந்த புடவையை தங்கள் ரகசிய கலைகளுடன் நெசவு செய்கிறார்கள் என்றார். மன்னர் தனக்கு கொஞ்சம் பணம் கொடுத்தால், ராணிக்கும் மற்றும் அரசவையினருக்கும் இதே மாதிரியான புடவைகளை வடிவமைத்துத் தருவதாக வேண்டினார்.
மன்னர் கிருஷ்ணதேவ ராயர் அதற்கு சம்மதித்து அந்தப் பெண்ணுக்கு பணம் கொடுத்தார். அந்த பெண் சேலையை தயார் செய்ய ஓராண்டு அவகாசம் கேட்டார். இதற்குப் பிறகு, அந்தப் பெண் தனது புடவை நெசவாளர்களுடன் மன்னரின் அரண்மனையில் வசிக்கத் தொடங்கினார் மற்றும் புடவை நெய்யத் தொடங்கினார். இக்காலத்தில் அந்தப் பெண் மற்றும் கைவினைஞர்களுக்கான உணவு, பானங்கள் முதலான அனைத்து செலவுகளையும் அரண்மனையே ஏற்றுக்கொண்டது. அதேபோல், ஒரு வருடம் கடந்துவிட்டது. பிறகு அந்தப் பெண்ணிடம் அந்தப் புடவையைப் பார்க்கும்படி அரசன்தன் மந்திரிகளை அனுப்பினார். அமைச்சர்கள் சென்றபோது, பார்த்து அதிர்ச்சியுள்ளனர். அங்கு நூலோ, துணியோ இல்லாமல் எதையோ இரண்டு கைவினைஞர்கள் நெசவு செய்து கொண்டிருந்தனர்.
அந்தப் பெண் தன் கைவினைஞர்கள் ராஜாவுக்குப் புடவைகளை நெய்கிறார்கள் என்று சொன்னாள், ஆனால் அமைச்சர்கள் எந்த சேலையையும் பார்க்க முடியவில்லை என்று சொன்னார்கள். இது குறித்து அந்த பெண் கூறுகையில், வாழ்க்கையில் எந்த பாவமும் செய்யாத, மனம் சுத்தமாக இருப்பவர்கள் மட்டுமே இந்த புடவையை பார்க்க முடியும் என்றார். அந்தப் பெண்ணின் பேச்சைக் கேட்டு அமைச்சர்கள் கலங்கினர். ஒரு சாக்கு போக்கு சொல்லி அந்த பெண்ணிடம் ,"அந்த புடவையை பார்த்தேன்", என்று சொல்லிவிட்டு அங்கிருந்து கிளம்பினர். ராஜாவிடம் திரும்பி வந்து, புடவை மிகவும் அழகாக இருக்கிறது என்றனர்.
