மொழிபெயர்ப்பு: Team at IIT-M develop drones enabled with AI & computer vision

Students of the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, have developed drones equipped with artificial intelligence and computer vision to help in rescue of people trapped in disaster-hit areas. A team from Centre for Innovation of the premier institution has developed the drone 'Eye in the Sky' to develop an end-to-end solution for identifying accurate and critical information on people trapped in disaster hit places and communicate them with the relief task force.
The 'Eye in the Sky' initiative was unique and the analytical modules were based on latest available technology with the team creating its own databases, it said.
According to IIT-M, Department of

to the team, P R Shankar, the 'Eye in the sky' programme would be a power
ful tool for saving lives and providing succour during disaster relief and humanitarian aid operations.- PTI

சென்னை ஐ.ஐ.டி.யில் புதிய டிரோன் கண்டுபிடிப்பு

சென்னை இந்திய தொழில்நுட்ப நிறுவனத்தைச் (ஐஐடி) சேர்ந்த மாணவர்கள் புதிதாக ஒரு டிரோனைக் கண்டுபிடித்துள்ளனர். பேரிடர் ஏற்பட்ட பகுதிகளில் சிக்கிக் கொள்ளும் மக்களை கண்டறியும் விதமாக இந்த டிரோனில் செயற்கை நுண்ணறிவும், கணினி மூலமாக பார்வை இடும் தொழில்நுட்பமும் பொருத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.

பெருமைக்குரிய இந்த நிறுவனத்தில் உள்ள புதிய கண்டுபிடிப்புகளுக்கான மையத்தைச் சேர்ந்த குழு ‘ஐ இன் தி ஸ்கை’ என்ற டிரோனை கண்டுபிடித்துள்ளனர். பேரிடர் நிகழ்ந்த இடத்தில் சிக்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் மக்கள் குறித்த துல்லியமாக, நுணுக்கமான தகவல்களைக் கண்டறிந்து, மீட்புப் பணி குழுவுக்குத் தகவலை கொண்டு சேர்க்கும் திறன் கொண்டது இந்தக் கருவி.

‘ஐ இன் தி ஸ்கை’ டிரோன் ஒரு தனித்துவமான முயற்சியாகும். தற்போது கிடைக்கப் பெறும் நவீன தொழில்நுட்பம் மூலம் ஆராய்ச்சியை மேற்கொண்டு இது தயாரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது என்று இதை வடிவமைத்த குழுவினர் தெரிவித்துள்ளனர்.

‘ஐ இன் தி ஸ்கை’ டிரோன் என்பது பேரிடரின்போது மக்களுக்கு உதவக்கூடிய வலிமையான கருவியாகும் என்கிறார் ஐஐடி விண்வெளி பொறியியல் துறையை சேர்ந்த டிரோன் தயாரிப்பு குழுவின் ஆலோசகரான பி.ஆர்.ஷங்கர்.-பிடிஐ
