பாட்டி: Imperative sentence ல் request type ஐப் பற்றி இன்று பார்க்கலாம்
Direct Speech
He said to me, “Please, open the door.”
He said to me, “Please, don’t open the door.”
இதில். எந்தெந்த வார்த்தைகளை எல்லாம் direct speech லிருந்து indirect speech ற்கு மாற்ற வேண்டும்?
உமையாள்: Imperative sentence - request type இல் Please, Kindly போன்ற வார்த்தைகள் முதல் வார்த்தையாக Reported speech இல் இருக்கும். அதன் பின்னர் verb வரும்.
இசை: Please, Kindly போன்ற வார்த்தைகளை Indirect speech இல் நீக்கி விட வேண்டும்.
மித்ரன்: Positive imperative sentence இல் verb ற்கு முன்னால் “to” ஐ conjunction ஆக Indirect speech இல் சேர்க்கவேண்டும்.
உமையாள்: அதே போல Negative imperative sentence இல் verb ற்கு முன்னால் “not to” ஐ Conjunction ஆக சேர்க்க வேண்டும்.
இனியன்: said to ற்கு பதிலாக Indirect speech இல் requested ஐ பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும்.
இசை: Reporting speech ஐப் பொறுத்து Reported speech இல் pronoun ஐ மாற்ற வேண்டும்.
