Direct Speech
He said to me, “Open the door.”
He said to me, “Don’t open the door.”
இதில். எந்தெந்த வார்த்தைகளை எல்லாம் direct speech-லிருந்து indirect speech-ற்கு மாற்ற வேண்டும்?
உமையாள்: Imperative sentence இல் verb முதல் வார்த்தையாக இருக்கும்.
இசை: எனவே verb ற்கு முன்னால் “to” ஐ conjunction ஆக Indirect speech இல் சேர்க்கவேண்டும்.
உமையாள்: Negative imperative sentence இல் “not to” ஐ Conjunction ஆக சேர்க்க வேண்டும்.
இனியன்: said to ற்கு பதிலாக Indirect speech இல் ordered ஐ பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும்.
இசை: Reporting speech ஐப் பொறுத்து Reported speech இல் pronoun ஐ மாற்ற வேண்டும்.
